Andrew Rizzo Oregon Athletics’ Ducks of a Feather brand is in the midst of maybe its best year yet for sneaker collabs, headlined by a universally praised Air Max 95 “The Woods” duo from March and the glow-in-the-dark “Mummy Duck” Foams releasing this holiday season. In the meantime, the student-athlete-run imprint is matching the energy of the moment with a limited Total 90 for the World Cup, set to release exclusively through GOAT on July 14th.
The “Beautiful Game” Total 90, named after a phrase popularized by Brazilian soccer legend Pelé, features a woven multicolor upper inspired by the flags of Canada, the United States, and Mexico, this year’s three host countries. The weaving technique tells its own story, indirectly honoring the rich cultural blend the sport of soccer, or fútbol, affords the world. Stitched “DOAF” branding lives on the heel, while a white midsole and semi-translucent outsole cap things off underfoot.
