Kids Of Immigrants Opens First Flagship Store With Rare Nike Footwear Partnership

Kids Of Immigrants has officially put down permanent roots in Los Angeles. The streetwear brand has officially opened the doors to its first flagship store in Los Angeles, marking the KOI’s 10-year anniversary with a permanent home that blurs the line between retail space and community center.

Located in Melrose Hill, the flagship is anchored by a curated assortment of Nike footwear and apparel, a notable milestone for the brand as it deepens its longstanding relationship with Nike. Alongside select energy releases, the store will stock lifestyle footwear and apparel at a range of price points, offering a thoughtful product mix tailored to the surrounding community. While collaborations between Nike and streetwear labels have become commonplace, seeing an independent brand curate and sell a permanent assortment of Nike footwear remains quite uncommon, further illustrating the level of trust that has developed between the two partners over the recent years.

The Nike assortment is just one piece of a much broader vision. Designed to be “lived in, not just shopped in,” the flagship is divided into five interconnected spaces dedicated to retail, art, work, recreation, and community. The store will host year-round programming ranging from youth mentorship and nonprofit partnerships to film screenings, artist installations, creative workshops, wellness events, soccer watch parties, neighborhood markets, and fundraising initiatives benefiting immigrant communities throughout Los Angeles. The mission of the retail space mirrors much of the brand’s outreach initiatives and empowering messages, centered around bringing community together.

The Kids Of Immigrants flagship store is officially open to the public beginning today and is located at 4873 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90029. Limited pairs of their recent T90 Mule collab will be available in limited quantity. On Sunday, July 19th, they’ll be hosting a watch party for the final game of the international football tournament. You can keep up with the shop’s happenings on Instagram at @koiflagship.
