Andrew Rizzo Caitlin Clark’s first signature Nike shoe draws closer by the day, set to debut October 1st in a “Racer Blue” colorway that’s all but guaranteed to rank among the year’s biggest basketball footwear releases. The roadmap for future styles is already beginning to take shape, with several early looks coming straight from the source. Following previews of black, yellow, and “Snow White” options comes a never-before-seen purple colorway, shared by Clark herself on Instagram.
While the shoe largely follows the same design formula as the pairs seen thus far, this is notably the first Caitlin 1 to incorporate a gradient finish. The upper transitions from dark purple near the collar to a lighter shade toward the sole, a treatment that does well to emphasize the model’s defining features, namely the seven exoskeleton-like ridges shaping each side. Clark’s signature logo appears on the tongue in blue, while the layered Swooshes introduce a mix of blue, silver, and bronze finishes.
No release date for the purple Nike Caitlin 1 has been announced as of this writing, though the model itself is scheduled to debut on October 1st. See detailed images below and stay tuned for further updates.
