Once unquestionably considered one of the true “grails” in The King’s canon, a player exclusive crafted shortly after the seminal Jay-Z and Kanye album, the LeBron 9 of the same name was later released to the public as the 9 experienced its first retro run. Now revealed via longtime associate Frankie Walker Sr., the LeBron 23 adapts that half-menacing, half-tropical colorway faithfully, utilizing heavy amounts of carbon fiber and flora-laden collars to bring that look into a new era.
The links to that high point in James’ signature line are clear. What’s less evident is the plans for this pair. Given it’s been revealed by a close confidant, it seems equally likely that this is a PE or friends-and-family exclusive as it is that a full public release is in the works.
