less subjective and more indisputable; WNBA All-Star Weekend setting a new attendance record past weekend is the latest in a seemingly unending stream of all-time bests for the league of late.
No doubt, the ever-cited crop of budding superstars in their ranks have helped bring the women’s game to its current heights, not least of which Ms. Caitlin Clark. Though she’s always appointment viewing, the continued rollout for her Nike Caitlin 1 has added an extra dimension to our viewership. The actual All-Star Game itself didn’t dissapoint in that regard, as #22 added another colorway to the unreleased canon.
Breaking from the “White Label” previewed in the days leading up to the showcase, the Caitlin 1 “WNBA All-Star” leans on what’s been a well-recieved aesthetic in the eyes of fans: expressive gradients. Where this PE sets a new standard is in toying with multiple shades; fiery orange and red dance across the uppers before royal blue outsoles and Swooshes quench those flames in contrasting fashion.
It’s unclear whether this WNBA All-Star Nike Caitlin 1 can be counted among the shoe’s public colorways queued up for this Holiday season, or if these will remain exclusive to the woman herself. For now, check out some in-action shots below.
