Matt Varga What comes after the “Brick After Brick?” Nigel Sylvester’s follow-up to his widely acclaimed “Brick By Brick” has only furthered his status within the halls at Jordan Brand, if the splashy in-person activations and Board of Greatness invites didn’t already tip off how well he’s regarded by his foremost sponsor. So it wasn’t necessarily a question of whether his collab catalog would continue under the Jumpman, but more a question of what that would behold: whether he’d continue as the face of the AJ4 or whether he’d look to expand his scope.
The answer is finally here: Nigel Sylvester will bring his talents to the Air Jordan 6 in a “Paperboy”-inspired release for Summer 2027. In our conversation with the BMX superstar, there was a level of finality regarding the “Brick” story, with the first shoe speaking to “building” and the second hinting at “sustaining.” Rather than taking a third step on that path, Nigel Sylvester will turn his attention to what’s presumably a childhood favorite, the 1991 NES release that puts the player on a bike-riding paper route, obviously tying into the adult Sylvester’s passion and career.
As always, any leaks should be treated as tentative at best, but a blue/white palette has been reported, which would tie in with the cover art for the game. Trademark Nigel cues, including “Bike Air” branding and a small forefoot Swoosh, are also expected.
