Andrew Rizzo Nike and Zellerfeld are continuing to tweak the 3D-printed Air Max 1000 with another “software update” for Fall 2026, an unexpected third iteration following the Air Max 1000.2 from just a few months ago. While we don’t yet know what the tweaks will look like, we do have info that says the model will debut via customizable Nike By You options.
For Zellerfeld, entering the Nike By You canon is almost too easy. The 3D-printed footwear leader already manufactures orders based on demand rather than running a full production line, though the brand’s Nike shoes have thus far come in finite quantities with no custom fit options.
We don’t yet know how the Air Max 1000.3 will differ from the original, or the v2, for that matter, nor do we know exactly which Nike By You customization options will be made available. It’s likely that consumers will be able to choose a primary base color as well as the color of the visible Air bag in the heel, though other options like different patterns can’t be ruled out yet. It’s also possible, though unlikely, that users will be able to scan their feet for a custom fit, a feature already baked into Zellerfeld’s larger product catalog.
The Zellerfeld x Nike Air Max 1000.3 By You drops Fall 2026 exclusively via the Nike website. Pricing is still TBD, but we expect something in the $200-plus range.
