Andrew Rizzo A’ja Wilson celebrated her 30th birthday by adding yet another first to her already absurd résumé. The four-time MVP and three-time WNBA Champion is now the first WNBA player featured solo on a Wheaties box, placing her inside one of American sports’ most enduring traditions and alongside generations of athletes – from Lou Gehrig to Michael Jordan – immortalized in the cereal aisle. Nike, naturally, had its own way of commemorating the moment.
The following Nike A’Two PE borrows directly from the iconic orange Wheaties cereal box. Bright orange dominates the upper, broken up by a subtle, shifting dot pattern, while royal blue lands across the tongue, toe box, heel clip, and outsole. Our favorite detail lives on the tongue, Wilson’s signature logo appearing within a circular white ring resembling milk left by a cereal bowl. Wheaties’ “Breakfast of Champions” slogan appears on the heel pull tabs, while a light cyan shade animates the remaining A’ja logo hits.
The Nike A’Two “Wheaties” is strictly a PE and won’t release to the public. Wilson’s limited-edition Wheaties box, however, is beginning to hit shelves now.
