Assuming no big surprises, when 2026 is said and done, we’ll have seen just two public releases of the Kobe 6: the All-Star 3D and the “Coals.” To be blunt, Nike could continue printing money with the silhouette if they so chose, but their prerogative remains to expand the Protro family far beyond its most famous member. That’s why the Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro remains such a high volume commodity, as an all black colorway comes to light via the Mamba Invitational.
With the weekend tourney now in the rearview, it’s abundantly clear that beyond the varsity stars in attendance, Nike Basketball treated the tournament as a showcase of what’s coming down the line for Kobe footwear fans. The impending Kobe 10 Protro recieved several new looks, but the Kobe 3 was a priority once again. Emerging shortly after the Kobe 3 “Orca,” a stealthy take on the original high cut build, this shortened sibling relies on a jet black body, only briefly breaking from that arrangement with a silver Swoosh at the heel.
Despite being revealed on-court, Sneaker News can confirm that the Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro “Black” will hit public hands this November, arriving in both adult and grade school sizing.
