Andrew Rizzo Caitlin Clark’s Instagram Stories have become must-see TV for those looking to cop the Nike Caitlin 1 upon arrival, the Indiana Fever star continuing to tease new colorways and provide more and more clues regarding the themes surrounding her first shoe rollout. The latest pair to hit the ’net dials it back to Clark’s college days with a yellow and black “Iowa Hawkeyes” colorway, sure to be a favorite among her longtime fans.
College-inspired colorways are standard fare when it comes to inaugural signature shoes, revisited time and again by pretty much every incoming signature athlete. The upper comes coated in bright yellow with a slight black fade appearing around the forefoot, while the midsole, outsole, and main Swoosh logo come in pure black. The left tongue features a circular graphic of a basketball with a Swoosh inside, a new introduction to the Caitlin Clark shoe canon thus far.
This is a sneaker that would warrant a “Bruce Lee” or “Wu-Tang” comparison in most cases, but Clark’s Iowa career makes for an even more natural connection. She’s a certified legend in the Hawkeye state, breaking several major scoring records and winning back-to-back national player of the year awards.
The Nike Caitlin 1 “Iowa Hawkeyes” doesn’t have a release date yet, but a Fall/Winter 2026 drop seems most likely given the timing of the teaser. It’s also possible that Nike might wait until March Madness next year, all still TBD as of this writing.
