On a design level, the mismatched hardware remains a massive focal point; the lace stays differ in shape, creating a “JA” spell-out when viewed from above. It’s a natural extension of the criss-crossed aesthetics he favored in previous shoes, with several alternating colorways like the Kool-Aid Ja 3 or SLAM Ja 4 demonstrating that.
Here, fluorescent pink makes good on the flash and fury we expect from any Ja shoes. While neutral grey and black trim and sole units help ground this design, another standout portion comes with the all-over print on the heel, utilizing Ja’s triangular logo for a repeated backing and an enunciated emblem on top.
