Official Images Of The Air Jordan 7 “Tennis Day”

Jordan Brand is serving up some early-1990s Nike Tennis nostalgia with the upcoming Air Jordan 7 “Tennis Day.”

After an initial look at the grade school version surfaced several weeks ago, official Nike images now provide our best look yet at the adult pair. The colorway pulls heavily from the loud aesthetic that defined Nike Tennis during the early ’90s, particularly the footwear and apparel associated with Andre Agassi.

A neutral Phantom base gives way to bursts of Lemon Twist and Pink Blast, with black and Anthracite balancing out the palette. Mixed materials and speckled detailing further channel the colorful and bold performance footwear that helped define Nike Tennis during the era.

Oversized “JORDAN” branding appears across the tongue, while behind it sits a special “23-Love” label. It’s a clever triple-entendre: “love” is tennis terminology, it references Michael Jordan’s famous “Love of the Game” clause, and it speaks to the sneaker community’s enduring love for Air Jordans.

The Air Jordan 7 “Tennis Day” is scheduled to arrive on September 9th ($215), right around the U.S. Open in New York City, giving Jordan Brand one of tennis’ biggest stages as the backdrop for the release. Stay tuned for more details on our Jordan Release Dates page, as there may be some special activations and/or events surrounding this release.
