Sneaker News Westside Gunn’s next Saucony collaboration is almost here, and fans will have several opportunities to secure the Grid Jazz 9 “Awesome God” when it officially releases on August 28th, which the city of Buffalo has officially blessed as Westside Gunn Day.
The Griselda founder’s latest sneaker project is every bit as maximalist as you’d expect from Westside Gunn. The Grid Jazz 9 combines an assortment of animal-inspired patterns and textures, including cheetah, zebra, cow, and faux pony hair, while leather moccasin-style laces add another unexpected layer to the design. A custom scorpion appears at the heel as well as on a plastic hang-tag, completing one of Saucony’s wildest collaborations of the year.
For those trying to secure a pair, Saucony will open its EQL raffle at midnight on August 27th, ahead of the official August 28th release. Pairs will also be available through Westside Gunn’s Blientele platform and a selection of sneaker retailers nationwide (see the store list below).
