Andrew Rizzo Known throughout the footwear world for his skyrocketing partnership with adidas, Willy Chavarria is expanding his sphere of influence with a somewhat surprising new partner: UGG. While UGG isn’t exactly a brand we cover regularly in our corner of the footwear world, the sheer amount of talent assembled for the campaign, coupled with the surprisingly compelling product and the buzz already surrounding the project, has made this link-up pretty hard to ignore.
Eva Longoria, Danny Trejo, Becky G, Ivan Cornejo, and Chavarria himself all star in the campaign, bringing together a star-studded cast of Latin American talent rarely seen in one room. As you might expect from Chavarria, the collection skews far more Southwestern biker than middle-school girl clutching a pumpkin spice latte. Five black leather footwear styles are featured in the lookbook, led by UGG’s classic short boot reworked in black leather with metal nameplates at the heel.
The UGG tall boot follows suit with a set of oversized buckles, while the third option worn by Trejo is an entirely new boot built around an ultra-rugged construction and Vibram, leaning heavily into that biker aesthetic. Rounding out the collection are two slip-ons geared toward around-the-house wear: a leather clog finished with metal nameplates at the heel and a slipper featuring embroidery across the forefoot.
