Jordan Brand has never been shy about dedicating releases to the teams that either fell, or more frequently, fell to His Airness. The floodgates truly opened with the Defining Moments Pack, where long-time opponents from the Orlando Magic to the Boston Celtics saw their team colors enter the Jumpman canon, and in the time since, plenty more have aligned with the palettes of rival organizations. The Beaverton subsidiary is set to re-enter that same territory once again with the “Idols Become Rivals” pack, with the Air Jordan 12 “Bucks” its latest representative.

Earnestly started by the Air Jordan 4 “Lakers,” serving a dual purpose given the city’s All-Star Weekend celebration, the “Idols Become Rivals” series is already pointing to inclusions of the Air Jordan 5 “Suns” and the Air Jordan 8 “Knicks,” the latter queued up for Holiday 2026. The shoe at hand also checks two boxes, as this renewed jaunt through the NBA provides a springboard to publicly release a beloved Player Exclusive.

#34 is widely regarded as having one of the deepest rosters of PE heat, owing largely to his status as one of six “Team Jordan” members selected to carry the brand torch after its namesake hung ’em up for the final time. The true collectors will note that this 2026 version of the Air Jordan 12 “Bucks” slightly amends Ray’s vaunted pair; official images reveal iridescent metallic trim on the eyelets and cutting above the midsole instead of metallic gold ones. Otherwise, these make good on Allen’s era in Milwaukee, pairing “Summit White” and “Gorge Green” before splaying into royal purple branding hits, all in line with early aughts jerseys worn by the team. Note that kids’ pairs ditch the iridescent bangles in favor of matte pearl counterparts.
