Andrew Rizzo New York City’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) is reconvening with Nike for a two-pack of Air Rift 2 colorways for women, shown here via official images.
This marks MoMA’s first major Nike headline since Virgil Abloh was at the height of his powers in the late 2010s, a run famously punctuated by the black Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low “MoMA,” which released exclusively through the museum. Technically, this Air Rift 2 pack marks the two parties’ first official footwear collab. Nike and MoMA formalized their relationship in 2024 with the announcement of an official partnership centered around exclusive product launches, which has so far produced a range of colorful socks and now two Air Rift 2s. A MoMA x Air Jordan 1 is also slated for Spring 2027, although images have yet to surface as of this writing.
Originally introduced in the early 2000s, the tabi-toed Nike Air Rift 2 fits rather naturally into MoMA’s design-forward orbit. The color palettes follows suit, with one pair dressed in “Hyper Verde/Cyber Light Fuchsia” and another in black and lime green. The boxes match the energy of the shoes, both arriving in blue and pink.
The MoMA x Nike Air Rift 2 pack is expected to releas September 2026 exclusively in women’s sizing. We’ll circle back with an update as soon as official release details are announced.
