Andrew Rizzo It’s time we start talking about Up There as one of the best boutiques making sneaker collabs right now. The Melbourne, Australia shop has proven time and again that it simply “gets it,” delivering projects with ASICS, New Balance, and adidas that not only look great, but made with real appreciation for each brand’s respective history.
Up There’s most recent adidas collaboration gave us the adidas Melbourne, close to home for obvious reasons and shaped through a considered process involving trips to the adidas archive in Germany. Today’s headline, however, centers on a newer silhouette in the adidas EVO SL, adidas’ most popular road runner and one of the most popular in all of footwear at that. This particular version is called the adidas EVO SL ATR for “all terrain,” delivering a choice material upgrade for Australia’s diverse landscape and famously unpredictable weather.
Detailed images shared by @arab_lincoln show a brown mesh foundation with black stripes and dark grey across the midsole/protective mudguard area. The laces, heel tab, and insoles, meanwhile, all pull from the Up There brand kit in varying shades of green. It’s a contemporary yet slightly energetic pair that fits right into today’s preferred road running aesthetics. AKA, another masterclass.
