Caitlin Clark is keeping the previews coming ahead of the launch of her first signature shoe. The Indiana Fever star took to Instagram Stories to reveal another upcoming Nike Caitlin 1 colorway, officially dubbed “3x Black.”
The name is a play on “Triple Black,” the longstanding sneaker nickname for all-black colorways. True to form, nearly the entire Caitlin 1 is blacked out from top to bottom, with a silver bezel underneath the shoe’s double-Swoosh branding providing one of the few breaks from the monochromatic look. Clark’s “CC” logo and #22 hand-written branding on the tongue appear in Caitlin Blue, her favorite color and a detail that will remain consistent across Caitlin 1 colorways.
As we explored in our recent “Five Things You Won’t Find In The Nike Caitlin 1 Press Release” feature, color plays a particularly personal role throughout Clark’s signature line, with individual releases drawing from different parts of her life and career.
The “3x Black” will arrive a little further down the road, with a release scheduled for January 5th, 2027. Before then, the Nike Caitlin 1 officially gets underway on October 1st with the “Caitlin Blue” and “Warning Code” colorways for $140 each.
