Matt Varga New Balance loves themselves an inline collection, frequently tying together their latest and greatest silhouettes in a central colorway, offering exclusive pairs that you can only get directly from the source. Following two “Skies” efforts earlier in 2026, they’re back with the “Truffle Salt” for Fall/Winter, bringing together the New Balance Ellipse, 9060R, 2010, and 204L.
While New Balance’s overwhelming focus on new silhouettes makes it hard to separate the wheat from the chaff, or at least the top-level priorities from ones a level below, the Ellipse is clearly one that NB is betting big on. Between Action Bronson’s debut as a spokesperson for the inline catalog and a hefty dose of colorways for its debut, the Ellipse has gotten plenty of time to shine. These united collections are no exception; a “Warm Skies” series earlier this year flexed its brighter side, while this “Truffle Salt” concept offers the New Balance Ellipse the chance to try out earthier tones. “His and hers” style colorways toggle between dark grey and lighter mauve, maintaining burgundy trim throughout either.
Move through the rest of the collection for the lifestyle portion of the New Balance “Truffle Salt” offering. First and foremost, the 9060R takes center stage in a delicate arrangement, highlighting its new upper construction yet leaving its sole unit in stable off-whites. The low-pro 204L veers simplistic in its take, coated in steely suede before burgundy trim closes out. Finally, the ever-present New Balance 2010 distinguishes itself with yellow outlines around its “N” branding, but the overall rosy tones that define this capsule are still here in spades.
