The King enters year 24 with his 24th mainline signature sneaker under his belt, the model continuing to emerge in new colorways ahead of opening night at Madison Square Garden.
While Bron has “leaked” a number of upcoming LeBron 24 colorways on his Instagram in recent weeks, this “Lunar New Year” makeup marks the first true leak from an industry outsider. Eyes are first drawn to the upper, where Xiangyun, aka “auspicious clouds” or “lucky clouds,” patches appear on the forefoot and sides. Open beige “Kingknit” mesh forms the foundational layer, complemented by white Swooshes with red borders. A series of tile-like squares frame the entire tongue, joined by frilled red laces and Japanese characters on the outsole.
As for the model’s standard features, the LeBron 24 leans largely on the same crown motif as its predecessor, albeit in far more low-key fashion. The most obvious callout is the midfoot plate, though the motif recurs on the spine, bottom of the toe box, and even the top eyelets as a metallic accessory.
The Nike LeBron 24 “Lunar New Year” doesn’t have a release date, though the sneaker should coincide with the holiday come Spring 2027. It’s likely to be exclusive to the Greater China market.
