Salehe Bembury got some PUMA Hali 1 design notes last year. As part of the Pacers’ Hearts for Hali campaign, which encouraged kids to send in notes of encouragement as Haliburton recovered from his Achilles injury, the Indiana star received a letter from one Teddy Lockart featuring drawings of his very own Hali 1 colorways, not to mention some new PUMA models entirely. Teddy delivered, and PUMA listened, turning one of his ideas into an actual Hali 1 now endorsed by the man himself.

The PUMA Hali 1 “Teddy Lockart” takes after its author’s sketch (embedded below) with a black foundation, white TPU cage, and a nice violet purple hue on the big cat logos, heel clip, and outsole. Hali followers will note the Sacramento Kings resemblance, but that’s beside the point.

It’s not yet clear whether the PUMA Hali 1 “Teddy Lockart” will receive a public release or remain a player exclusive for Hali, though a retail launch certainly seems possible.
