The Nike Hyperflight Fuses Eras With “Safari” Orange

The Nike Hyperflight, most readily associated with Jason Williams, has stormed back onto the newswire as yet another pin in Nike Basketball’s retro mosaic. With the Nike Air Bakin quickly becoming a fixation of the sneakersphere, via Jae Tips’ collab Low or sell-outs for the OG reds and blues, it’s no wonder why the Swoosh keeps trawling their own archives; the right placement of an icon can turn them into “chase products” anew.

Interestingly, the Hyperflight hasn’t been able to capture that same resale shine in Retro colorways to date; it’s the SLAM Magazine collab that stands as the biggest secondary market success in this latest chapter. Perhaps another new invention, the Nike Hyperflight “Safari,” can replicate that success.

While this speckled arrangement has been part of Beaverton’s DNA since the Nike Air Safari, its most recent spotlight came with an all-hands celebration in the 2024 Olympics. The Hyperflight utilizes that dotted arrangement in heavy doses across its tanky exterior shell before turning to orange trim on the collar and mini Swoosh and rounding out with translucent traction.

The Nike Hyperflight “Safari” should be dropping in the next few weeks as part of the ongoing Holiday 2026 slate. A $190 retail price is confirmed.
