Quiet as kept, Jordan Brand has built out quite the roster of Día de los Muertos releases, an under-the-radar slate of annual releases that might have received its most notable entry in 2025 with the Air Jordan 4 “Somos Eternos.” Simultaneously, they’ve also paid particular attention to their Mexican fanbase via special edition colorways centered around Independence Day; the Jordan 5 “El Grito” and Jordan 3 “El Vuelo” building out that lineage. The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Somos Historias” presents a particular eye on Mexico for the holiday, now revealed with official images.
Appearing unexpectedly on SNKRS Mexico, campaign images pin this earthy edition next to a Xolo, the country’s national dog. Given the brown-forward arrangement, we’re assuming that this is the lighting concept behind this design, yet there’s far more than just the palette to dissect. Shaggy suede anchoring on the heel and lacestay pair with pocked overlays and mini Swoosh for some real texture, arguably coming to a head with a woven Swoosh and debossed quarter panel.
In a particularly unorthodox choice, the midsole also carries a bit of teal blush to align with the vibrant trim seen throughout. For those with an eye on quantity, an interior tongue tag numbers each pair out of 5036. Finally, a weathered concrete print box redoubles the title and adds an oversized Wings logo.
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Somos Historias” has already been listed on Nike MX, queued up for October 13th at MX$3,800 (around $200). It’s currently unclear whether these will indeed be a Mexico exclusive. While we await further details, catch official images below; watch our Jordan Release Dates page for that info as it comes down.
