Though steeped in some real history, carrying the legacy of the Trunner LX as the Jumpman’s first real off-the-court silhouette, the Jordan Trunner O/S remains an unorthodox member of the brand’s catalog all the same. Marking the company’s first real step into “tech runner” aesthetics, it’s nearing the one-year mark, and what better time to earn a new spotlight moment than as part of the Jordan Space Jam push.
Titled the “Space Jam Planet,” this version of the Jordan Trunner O/S does well to thread the needle between everyday earthy tones and some show-stopping orange and purple detailing, primarily centered on the midsole, side cage, and sockliner. The most obvious connection to draw here is to the Space Jam 2 logo, which would be narratively fitting given the “New Legacy” that the silhouette as a whole represents. Compared to its peers in the collection, this version stays pretty restrained in its branding notes, restricting the “Air Bugs” logo to a small logo on the heel, though the shoebox wears the same all-over print as anything in this “Space Jam” initiative.
The Jordan Trunner O/S “Space Jam Planet” should be dropping sometime in November, retailing for $130. Keep abreast of any new developments on this pair or any of the Jumpman’s upcoming heat via our Jordan Release Dates page.
