We’re fully aware that with the New Balance 990v7 right around the corner, the rest of the Boston brand’s Made in USA lineup is about to be drastically overshadowed for a bit. But even with such a momentous occasion on the horizon, the chains keep moving. Next up in the Made in USA Fall/Winter 2026 lineup is the New Balance 992 “Black/Afterglow/NB Navy,” a break from its peers in more ways than one.
Showcasing a rare departure from suede in favor of leather on a Made in USA pair, Steve Jobs’ favorite stands out with premium black leather overlays and chalked edges for a sophisticated, slightly grandpa-ish pre-aged vibe. The tongue and underlays are done in NB Navy leather, the mesh foundation in white, and the reflective “N” logo in black with a white border. Dark khaki paint across the back half of the midsole brings that pre-aged spirit underfoot.
The New Balance 992 “Black/Afterglow/NB Navy” releases November 19th, 2026 for $200 in men’s sizes. Check out official retailer images below if you’re already budgeting for a pair.
