You’ve heard of a pub crawl, but the Three Stripes is on the cutting edge of how to spend a weekend evening, setting off something of a cafe tour with the adidas Adistar Control 5. The “Slow Drip” series began with Deadstock Coffee in Portland, which utilized Iron Man coloring on its colorway of the retro runner, seeking out community mainstays that occupy territory as both cultural hubs and genuine coffee shops.
Houston’s The Tipping Point is the next beneficiary of this initiative. The store’s variation is fittingly piping hot, shot in the Texan desert and taking inspiration from the same local biome. With their home state hosting over 100 cactus flower species, the Houston hub turns to the classic green and pink to anchor the retro runner; the rosier shades are applied in heavy doses to the base layer, while textured suede overlays, roughened laces, and the sole unit below add viridescent stems.
This latest edition in the “Slow Drip” series drops on November 7, though a firm retail price for the Tipping Point x adidas Adistar Control 5 hasn’t been announced just yet.
