The Nike Vapormax Plus Re-Appears In A “Steelers” Look

Well isn’t this a surprise. The Nike Vapormax family, but particularly the Vapormax Plus, was once a true titan of the Nike catalog in the early stages of this decade and the latter half of the last. Revolutionary for its full-length exposed cushioning system, we wouldn’t so much say that the silhouette itself faltered in any way, yet consumer preference pushed it to the sidelines of what the Swoosh had to offer.

After waiting with bated breath for the next yearly installment of the series, expected in 2024 of previous trends had held, we made peace with the fact that Vapormax was in hibernation for the time being. The Nike Vapormax Plus “Steelers” shown here puts those thoughts to rest, at least for the time being, bringing out the first new colorway we’ve seen in a number of months. While we make the Pittsburgh connection considering their recent success, this yellow-on-black rendition could just as easily be aligned with the Nike Air Max “Batman” pack.
