Gabby Williams WNBA Finals MVP In The Air Jordan 41 “Amethyst”

The Air Jordan 41 has yet to make its retail debut in the United States, but the latest chapter in Michael Jordan’s signature footwear legacy already has a championship moment to remember. On Saturday night, Gabby Williams led the Golden State Valkyries to their first-ever WNBA Championship while wearing the Air Jordan 41 “Amethyst,” delivering the new model its most significant on-court moment yet.

The Valkyries’ accomplishment is nothing short of remarkable. Established as a WNBA expansion franchise in 2025, Golden State needed just two seasons to capture its first championship, becoming one of the fastest expansion teams in North American professional sports history to reach the mountaintop. The historic victory came in a decisive Game 7 against the Atlanta Dream, with Williams scoring 30 points in a 68-63 win to secure Finals MVP honors.

Williams saved her best for when it mattered most, scoring 28 of her 30 points in the second half to complete the comeback. On her feet was the Air Jordan 41 “Amethyst,” a purple-themed colorway that feels appropriate given the Valkyries’ team colors. The upcoming release is part of Jordan Brand’s gemstone-inspired collection, with the Amethyst referencing Michael Jordan’s February birthstone while also representing his intuition.

Jordan Brand introduced the Air Jordan 41 in August with a limited release in China, with a broader global rollout still to come. While the silhouette has already made appearances on professional hardwood, Williams’ championship performance has given it a defining moment before most American consumers have even had the opportunity to purchase a pair.

Stay tuned for further updates on the Air Jordan 41 “Amethyst” and its anticipated U.S. release.
