NIKE, Inc.’s “Move To Zero” efforts have gone from the corporate office and retail space to the manufacturing floor, producing dozens of products with upcycled, sustainable materials. One of those many offerings has been the Air Jordan 1 Mid Crater, which has recently emerged in a predominantly black ensemble featuring blue zig-zag contrasting stitching around the profile swooshes.
Akin to the first Air Jordan 1 to appear with Nike Regrind and Crater Foam materials, the forthcoming pair indulges in mix of textiles and fabrics across its upper – clad in an understated color palette. Profile swooshes and Jumpman logos on the tongue deviate from their surroundings with a heather grey-like and white hue, respectively, but the former components are also accompanied by non-standard, overlaid stitching in rich blue. Underfoot, sole units don’t detract much in terms of color palette, but the outsole’s dark grey and speckled makeup deliver modern, eco-friendly flair to Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker design.
An official Nike.com release date isn’t known, but this eco-friendly Jordan 1 Mid-variant is likely to launch before autumn arrives. In any case, enjoy images of the pair ahead.
