The New Balance TWO WXY hasn’t gotten the post-season exposure the brand surely anticipated, but it has already amassed a healthy legion of evangelists due to its lightweight, but breathable design and impressive traction. Recently, the basketball shoe emerged in a mix of faint yellow, pink and green scheduled to release on June 21st.
Akin to Kawhi Leonard‘s signature sneaker, the TWO WXY features a plethora of fabrics across its upper, with a seismic-inspired pattern throughout the mid-foot. Horizontal stripes cover the entirety of the synthetic overlays around the forefoot and heel, also appearing on the tongue. Fuel Cell-cushioning underfoot deviates from the spring-appropriate colors that take over the New Balance shoes‘ top-half, preferring a simple white look. Its accompanying tread, however, reverts to a complementary pink that also animates branding on the tongue logo.
