As the Nike Air Max 1 continues to celebrate its 35th anniversary, Tinker Hatfield’s revolutionary sneaker design further experiments with material, color combinations and themes.
After landing in region-exclusive styles for Air Max Day 2022, the original visible Air-cushioned design has emerged in a premium, multi-color ensemble covered in miniature symbols. Wacky patterns and graphics aren’t new to the first Air Max shoe, but the newly-surfaced arrangement sees leather, fuse and mesh materials come together throughout the upper in a refreshing layout. Furthermore, blush pink, rich brown and shades of green, purple and red feature patterns made up of dot, stars and other symbols. Likely part of a larger Air Max 1 collection, the women’s offering rounds out its “mish-mash” aesthetic with a sole unit clad in a compelling off-white midsole, purple traction combination.
No firm Nike SNKRS release details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change as summer inches closer.
In related sneaker news, the once-mythical Hello Kitty x Nike Air Presto is expected to release in May.
