Despite historically being ridiculed, the Air Jordan 1 Mid has garnered a lot of positive attention over the last few years. Recently, the mid-top trim of the late Peter Moore’s 37-year-old design appeared in a classic “Black” and “White” ensemble.
Akin to the beloved Nike Dunk “Panda,” the newly-surfaced pair featured a “yin-and-yang”-friendly mix that sees pitch-dark panels work in-tandem with “colorless” ones to create a versatile outfit. Profile swooshes, Jumpman logos and “AIR JORDAN” branding throughout the shoe indulge in a “White” makeup that also takes over the midsole underfoot. Together, the two-tone arrangement mimics the “Premium Essentials” retro that dropped in August 2016, covering Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker in the same “Black/White” take. Ruby-colored labels on the tongue, however, are abandoned for a more streamlined look.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com release soon.
