Jared Ebanks The mid-top counterpart of the Air Jordan 1 remains the silhouettes most divisive, but that hasn’t prevented the brand from promoting an onslaught of propositions throughout the year. From split-colored variations to uniquely clad textiles gracing the entirety of the model, the silhouettes Craft collection not only provides a medley of diverse textiles, the inside-out aesthetic serves as one of Jumpman’s most ambitious constructions to date.
Recently commanding its AJ1 low-top equivalent with hits of Navy, a similar ensemble takes hold here with “Obsidian” colored mesh mudguards, collar panels and tongue while the midfoots suede panels are additionally color-matched. The aforementioned texture concludes on the added heel counter finished in an “Ashen Slate” affixed with a black winged insignia. Remaining disparate from its typical construction, glossy patent leathers join at the perforated vamp, quarter overlay and debossed heel section establishing itself in a “French Blue” hue before concluding in the presiding Smoke Grey that fills the Swoosh. Underfoot an aged “Sail” midsole works in tandem with the light lilac tread before the light tan accent returns amidst the laces and exposed collar lining.
