The Air Pegasus ’89 may not have the flair and pedigree like the Air Max 1 or Air Max 90 do, but this running shoe classic has earned its spot as one of Nike Running’s most memorable shoes ever.
Already revealed in original colorways and modern concepts, the Air Pegasus 89 surfaces once more in a “Sport Royal” suit loaned by the Air Max 1. The striking shade of blue is paired with a crisp white mesh and neutral grey quarter overlay, concocting a truly retro-friendly package that should appeal the older heads. This only suggests that a “Sport Red” iteration is in the works as well, so we’ll wait patiently for those to pop up eventually.
