Michael Le Trends, as we all know, are cyclical, constantly weaving in and out of style. And much like the bell bottom jean, the footwear and colorways of the early aughts are now all of a sudden back in vogue. The New Balance 1906R, for example, is among one of the many silhouettes that have seen a recent resurgence, doing so in both new and familiar, Y2K-inspired colorways alike.
Here, the 1906R is further remembering its roots, drawing up a colorway replete with silver detailing. Said metallic finish is applied to the mesh base as well as the overlays, the latter of which is accented with blue decals throughout the entire shoe. Black, too, is relegated to the less prominent fixtures, mainly outfitting the lining, heel piece, outsole, and “N” logo.
