The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 has quickly become one of the more popular styles from the Jumpman family. Its increased comfort and relative availability have been celebrated by old and new sneaker fans alike since debuting in October 2020.
Ahead of spring, the modified Air Jordan 1 has emerged in a handful of new styles – including a rose-inspired take by Teyana Taylor. Away from collaborations, the Zoom Air-cushioned retro has taken on vibrant color combinations that deviate from Michael Jordan’s on-court legacy. The latest example to surface features a “White,” “University Blue,” and “Neon Green” mix of tones. The former two hues haven’t been uncommon on the silhouette since it launched in 1985, but the third one has only found a place in the Air Jordan roster as of recent. Nevertheless, the color trifecta helps expand Jordan’s legend decades after his last NBA game; the use of suede, mesh, and other non-original components also tap into lifestyle trends and preferences.
