Jared Ebanks A tradition unlike any other, the 87th annual Master’s Tournament is quickly approaching. While the best golfers in the game fine-tune their swings for Augusta, Georgia in early April, this upcoming ASICS GEL-Lyte III may not appear on the famed course, but its synonymous color blocking will remind one all the same.
While completely unconnected to the upcoming tournament, the Shigeyuki Mitsui design indulges in a palette ready to strike the green as the clad-suede upper is dipped entirely in the ceremonious tone of the Master’s jacket. Peeking through the windowed forefoot and eye stays, a vibrant injection of yellow is hidden away before consuming the nylon sock liner while the heel’s ASICS branding assumes is typical red association. Underfoot, the silhouette cleans up nicely, pairing a crisp white sole unit with a bunker-harkened sand treatment across the serrated tread in conclusion.
