Michael Le Over the course of the last few years, Union LA has delivered several compelling collaborative works with Jordan Brand. Very few, however, have been able to rival the success of their first two Air Jordan 1s. But with rumors of the boutique returning to MJ’s first signature later this year, it’s possible we may soon see an upset, even though its design could be a stark departure from its towering predecessors.
When the news first broke this past January, the rumor mill was abuzz with countless mock-ups, each a riff on the repaired fashion of the 2018 release. According to reputable leaker @MrUnloved1s, these are pure speculation, and the actual shoe will be nothing close in terms of design. He also shared that the collaboration is expected to release during August of this year, though an exact date has not yet been confirmed.
For now, as we eagerly await August, sit tight and stay tuned for further updates. It’s likely leaked images and additional details will surface relatively soon.

Updated March 30th, 2023: According to @mr_unloved1s, the upcoming Union x AJ1 has an official colorway of Sail/Wolf Grey/Muslin/Pale Vanilla/Kinetic Green/Metallic Gold. A release is expected in August 2023 for $200.
