Fresh off the debut of his first signature silhouette with Jordan Brand and the Celtics clinching the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, the next few months could catapult Jayson Tatum into yet another superstar stratosphere. As he and the second-best team in the League await their opening-round matchup, the four-time All-Star – and reigning ASW MVP – has a number of Player Exclusive and general release versions of his Jordan Tatum 1 on the way, such as the recent infusion with “Old School” embellishments.
Set to unveil its “St. Louis” and “Pink Lemonade” counterparts over the coming weeks, the latest ensemble from the Beaverton brand looks to the hues associated with Tatum’s former Air Jordan 36 PE that was based on his 1960s Mustang. Mirroring the same dominant jet-black ensemble, pitch-dark shades envelop the upper textile while hits of bright red bleed through the forefoot and accompany the heel’s pull tabs. Drawing upon the lined tumbled leather of the Air Jordan 12, a similar deployment anchors the heel counter while “Silver Metallic” branding curtails the ensemble in tandem with the greyscale TPU sole unit underfoot.
While we await the pair’s expected release date, in the meantime enjoy a first look at the Jordan Tatum 1 “Old School” below.
