Olive And Black Bring A Gloomy Aesthetic To The Nike Air Max 97

A year removed from its 25th anniversary, the Nike Air Max 97 has remained an integral portion of the Beaverton brand’s weekly general release lineup. Recently the Christian Tresser design indulged in a pitch-dark ensemble coated in tonal “Olive” tones.

Enacting the beginnings of a monochrome palette across the pair’s full-length Air unit, crisp white hues at the midsole, mid-foot Swoosh and seldom TPU overlay contrast the jet-black smooth leather mudguard and tread. Elsewhere, an outdoorsy green palette begins to overtake the upper as light and dark olive shades work upwards along the remaining slips of TPU and mesh tongue while dark evergreens provide a finishing touch along the laces.

Release date information has yet to be shared, so in the meantime enjoy official imagery of the Nike Air Max 97 “Black/Olive” below.
