Salehe Bembury x New Balance 1906R “Heat Be Hot” Releases On January 11th

Salehe Bembury further reveals his New Balance 1906R “Heat Be Hot” collaboration. Both the silver/yellow/orange and red/blue colorways of the model are featured in a short clip that depicts scientists donning hazmat suits conducting experiment in which foam “lava” erupts onto the shoes. The “Heat Be Hot” 1906R is set to release on January 11th at 9am on beaspunge.com. A wider release date on newbalance.com will be announced shortly.

Updated December 20th, 2023: Salehe Bembury shares a closer look at both upcoming New Balance 1906R collaborations, attaching a simple “Heat Be Hot.” caption.

Serving as the Creative Director for the Crocs Pollex Clog collection, Salehe Bembury has helped reinvigorate the Colorado-based brand into a new age of lifestyle wear. Currently attending Paris Fashion Week, the Tribeca native took to social media recently to share a first look at his latest potential collaboration with another favored collaborator, New Balance.

As seen via the images below, Bembury has seemingly tricked out the New Balance 1906R for his next joint effort following the release of his 990v2 offering late last year. The Boston brand’s most premium running solution strays away from the tonal efforts of Bembury’s past, instead achieving a vibrant multi-color gradient cast across its mesh base layer, transitioning from a bright yellow toe cap to a crimson red heel. Elsewhere, the archival running staple enacts a greyscale accent, imbuing the sole unit and various upper overlays with lively silver metallic contrasts.

Enjoy a first look at the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 1906R below as we await further release details in the meantime.

In other news, the Air Jordan 38 “Fundamentals” recently surfaced in official imagery.
