With 2024 inching closer, first in-hand photos of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Venice Beach” have begun to surface across social media.

Update November 7th, 2023: According to zsneakerheadz, the Kobe 8 Protro “Venice Beach” is expected to release on April 13th, 2024.

Revered for its airy full-length Lunarlon cushioning system and superior on-court traction, the Nike Kobe 8 Protro will add its famed “Venice Beach” colorway to the silhouette’s recent revitalization in 2024.

Following news of Nike relaunching the late Kobe Bryant’s brand on Mamba Day – August 24th – with the Kobe 8 Protro “Triple-White”, Bryant’s heralded eighth signature has been revealed to return its first OG colorway in Summer 2024. Initially released in 2013 in connection to the sandy Venice Beach some odd 16 miles away from the formerly known Staples Center, the overtly titular colorway returns its multi-color use of teal, red, yellow and silver throughout the mesh upper. Turquoise fills the model’s staple TPU heel counter while the medial yellow Swooshes and bright orange sock liner shine amidst the heel’s greyscale backdrop.

The Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Venice Beach” is scheduled to release in Summer 2024 for a retail price of $180. In the meantime, enjoy a detailed look at the inaugural colorway from 2013 via the imagery below.
