New Balance 327 Adds Corduroy To A “Protection Pack” Style Build

Since exploding onto the sneaker scene in the Summer of 2021, the “Protection Pack” aka “Refined Future” concept has become a burgeoning mini-franchise for the New Balance brand. Instantly recognized for the extended edges on the upper overlay, the “Protection Pack” instantly gained famed for its unfinished, factory-floor look and his since expanded to countless 2002R iterations while overflowing onto the 1906R.

Next up is the New Balance 327, a popular modern lifestyle silhouette that debuted in early 2020 in collaboration with Casablanca. Featuring soft suede upper overlays in beige, brown, and black options, New Balance applies the stylish design touch, but with less jagged finishes, to a vintage-themed construction that relies on a corduroy-like base layer and spongy tongues. Black rubber outsoles with the track-style traction studs appear across each colorway.

The New Balance 327 “Protection Pack” is currently available in women’s sizes overseas; a U.S. release date has yet to be determined.
