Australia’s Up There Covers Its New Balance 1906R In Shades Of Grey

The folks from Australia’s Up There Store has taken the New Balance 1906R “down under” for its latest collaboration.

A departure in color scheme from the “Backyard Legends” duo that launched in 2022, the 1906RUP by New Balance features different shades of grey. According to the Melbourne-based brand, the goal with its third “N”-branded project was to play with light. To this end, Up There brought more than a few variations of grey, which has been synonymous with New Balance for decades.

Breathable mesh uppers are overlaid with synthetic, canvas, and plastic components that speak to the model’s origins in performance-running. Each piece of Up There’s New Balance 1906R works in-tandem to offer a play on reflectivity depending on lighting and seeing-angle. Details on the silver overlays across the upper opt for a cream color that also takes on one of four sets of laces and the sole unit underfoot. A “Grey Ice” finish takes on the N-DURANCE rubber outsole and springy N-ERGY pods at the rear-foot. Co-branding is abandoned on the pair, but Up There’s signature green animates aglets and Ortholite sockliners.

Enjoy detailed photos of the NB 1906RUP ahead. The grey-covered collaboration arrives via uptherestore.com on Black Friday, November 25th. A newbalance.com launch has not been announced.
