Is this their best collaboration to date?

Wood Wood Brings Its Contemporary Ethos To The ASICS GT-2160

Copenhagen fashion brand Wood Wood is a familiar yet under-the-radar sneaker collaborator, having worked with ASICS, adidas, and New Balance on a variety of lifestyle shoes throughout the years. Their most recent partnership with ASICS might stand out as their finest effort yet, masterfully joining Wood Wood’s modern design ethos with the traditional characteristics of the GT-2160 silhouette.

The delivery achieves a delicate balance between bold and restrained, featuring meticulous details without overwhelming the design in any way. The sides of the shoe showcase a unique mesh texture, punctuated by subtle perforations that lend a gently aged appearance. Purple accents on the lace loops, rope laces, and ASICS logo overlays introduce refined elegance, echoed by more purple hits on the midsole for cohesion. The shoe’s entry point combines brown lining with a green heel tab for an earth-toned blend, while cream, grey, and reflective finishes pay homage to classic ASICS styling throughout the rest of the build.

Unisex sizes are currently available on woodwood.com for $140 and appear to be moving quickly. However, those who miss out have another chance via an asics.com drop March 22nd. Enjoy detailed images below and return to our Sneaker Release Dates page for a full view of all upcoming ASICS offerings.
