Asics has been working overtime lately coming up with colorway after colorway of the Asics Gel Lyte III and now they have brought in some outside inspiration to further expand the design possibilities. Asics has teamed up with Sanrio to create two different Hello Kitty-inspired Gel Lyte III models to be released later this fall in women’s sizes. One version uses a red upper with a white toe box and mid panel that feature an all-over Hello Kitty print. The shoe also sports a red and white midsole with an additional Hello Kitty pattern on the red heel panel. The other colorway is black and gold with a special “bling” Hello Kitty pattern gracing the toe box and heel section. This version also sports a solid black midsole and a red lining. Both pairs will come with a special collector’s shoe bag and will be available this September at the Sanrio online shop, as well as at their flagship stores in New York, San Francisco and Hawaii. As if that wasn’t enough to get you excited, there will also be a second installment of the collaboration coming later in the year so stay tuned for more info.
