Moving Bricks: Concepts Sets Up Shop for Asics “8 Ball” Release in NYC

Concepts 8 Ball Asics Release Nyc 9

Last November, Concepts opened up a unique annex in the TriBeCa neighborhood of New York City with the goal of releasing their incredible footwear collaborations within an unprecedented retail shopping experience. For tomorrow’s drop of the Asics Gel Lyte V “8-Ball”, the Boston-based shop created a uniquely interactive installation designed to mimic a certain transaction associated with the design of the shoe. As expected, Concepts goes above and beyond a classic sneaker release, making their NYC pop-up a can’t miss attraction – whether you’re into shoes or not.

Upon arriving at the location, customers will be allowed into the shed one by one and the transaction will occur there. The only communication between buyer and seller occurs via a small opening at eye level, with the product being exchanged through a slide-out shelf. A special-edition package featuring a traditional “brick” style wrapping as well as four lace options to choose from will be available exclusively through the Concepts release (NYC, Boston, online) and will retail for $170. Walk with us through Concepts’ NYC pop-up to get a first-hand experience and be sure to head there tomorrow at 6PM to purchase in person.

The Concepts x Asics Gel Lyte V will release tomorrow at 6PM EST in NYC and Boston. An online release will occur at 7PM EST.
