Elliot Santiago The launch of the Kyrie 6 has been one of the most interesting to date as Nike Basketball and the Brooklyn Nets superstar have announced a series of exclusive renditions dedicated to some of Irving’s favorite global destinations. And with all the overwhelming support that his basketball fans out in Asia have displayed throughout his career, the crossover king felt it was only right that he paid his respects with their own specially-made pairs, one of which is this upcoming colorway dedicated to the city of Guangzhou. Hinging on a flamboyant color schemes to stylize its entirety – potentially nodding to the vibrance of the city’s famous Canton Tower – the hoops-ready silhouette arrives treated with a combination of blue and red hues applied to the upper’s segmented panels. Wedged in between arrives the an orange tinted mosaic side panel that features the seeing eye graphics displayed in all-over fashion. In addition, Chinese characters that appropriately spell out “Guangzhou” make their way onto the strap’s medial sides. Down below, the midsoles/outsoles are decorated with a collage of painted streaks in the aforementioned hues, with added doses of yellow to round off its thematics.
