Updated: DIOR x Air Jordan 1 Revealed

Today in spicy sneaker rumors is the swirling report of a collaboration between Jordan Brand and French fashion house Dior. While this is just provocative hearsay at this point, the rumblings are that the silhouette in the spotlight is the Air Jordan 1 (no surprise there) and that they’ll be limited to just 1,000 pairs at $2,000. If that is indeed the case, we could be in for the most luxurious and premium Air Jordan 1 ever made. Quick math also tells us that an easy $2 million in gross revenue will be generated if this partnership goes down, although we’d love to see it extended beyond one model and into a full range of apparel. Dior’s all-over-print of its classic logo, seen in the popular B23 Hi Top, could possibly be a jump-off point in terms of a design concept, although it would most certainly be intriguing to see what the design teams of each respective label will concoct. Collabs between sportswear and high-fashion is certainly not out of the ordinary; read more about the upcoming Prada adidas shoe.
