Under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, old and new co-conspirators alike have reimagined beloved silhouettes. Both COMME des GARÇONS and sacai proferred their deconstructed, layered design approach on tonal pairs of the Air Force 1 Mid and LDWaffle, respectively. By contrast, Melody Ehsani switched things up from last year’s Jordan 1 Mid for her upcoming women’s Air Jordan. And though the SB Dunk Strawberry Cough also visually deviates from previous collaborations between Todd Bratrud and Nike SB, it still captures the cheekiness of yesteryear’s 4/20 releases.
Over at adidas, long-time collaborator Pharrell ushered in several Spring-ready options. Cream iterations of the Stan Smith and Continental 80 are perfect for those who prefer an understated look. An upcoming SOLARHU and brand new 0 To 60 STMT silhouette, however, make bold multi-colored statements for those looking for just that. Elsewhere, adidas’ partnership with Disney has followed-up its Mickey Mouse Superstar with the Ultra Boost Goofy. While free of any clumsy cartoon dog graphics, Reebok’s Zig Kinetica also boasts a funky ensemble, courtesy of New York icon Alife®.
